As he announced on Monday, three-star cornerback out of St. Thomas More High School in Oakdale, Connecticut, Charles Bell has committed to the Iowa football program.

Fresh off Iowa's big official visit weekend, Bell is just the second defensive back commit for the Hawkeyes in the class of 2025, joining projected safety and three-star prospect out of Loyola Academy, Drew MacPherson.

The No. 8 recruit in the state of Connecticut, Bell chose Iowa over the remainder of his top ten that included Minnesota, Notre Dame, Boston College, Penn State, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Rutgers and North Carolina State.

Rutgers, Boston College and North Carolina State were each heavily involved at one point in his recruitment. Bell took an official visit to New Brunswick in late May with Iowa being his lone other OV.

With offers from programs like Notre Dame and Penn State, Bell's potential at the position is notable. National recruiting analyst Adam Friedman included Bell in a group of defensive backs that impressed him at the Rivals Camp Series Northeast, saying Bell also had his "fair share of wins and showed off impressive technical skills during the position drills prior to one-on-ones."

Bell is the eleventh commit in the Hawkeyes 2025 recruiting class, joining MacPherson, Lucas Allgeyer, Cameron Herron, Mason Woods, Thomas Meyer, Eli Johnson, Jimmy Sullivan, Carson Cooney, Burke Gautcher and Joey VanWetzinga.
