Four-star RB decides

Four-star running back Greg Garmon has made his college decision. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Pennsylvania native announced his choice this evening in Arizona at the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, which was televised live on the CBS Sports Network.

"I'll be attending the University of Iowa with Coach Ferentz," Garmon told the TV audience as he donned a Hawkeye hat.

After picking up 45 scholarship offers during the recruiting process, Garmon made his five official visits to Iowa, Miami, Arkansas, Illinois, and North Carolina. In recent weeks, he narrowed his favorites down to three schools, which were Iowa, Miami, and Arkansas, but it was the Hawkeyes who finished on top.

A two-time all-state selection at McDowell High School in Erie, PA, Garmon rushed for 1,050 yards and 16 touchdowns in leading his team to an 8-3 record this year.
