The Iowa Hawkeyes are the latest team to offer talented Class of 2019 offensive lineman Will Putnam. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Illinois native received the news from Iowa's director of recruiting, Tyler Barnes, this evening.

A standout sophomore, Putnam has made a couple visits to Iowa City before, including one for the Iowa-Iowa State game this past season.

"I've been to Iowa twice and both times I've visited it's been a great time," said Putnam.

It has been quite a run for Putnam recently with new offers from Iowa, Penn State, Ohio State, and Missouri in the past week. That is to go along with earlier offers from Georgia, Northwestern, Illinois, and Pittsburgh.

"The past few days have been very exciting," Putnam said. "It's a great feeling having big time football programs offer me a scholarship."
