The Iowa Hawkeyes are the latest program to offer big Class of 2019 offensive lineman Joe Tippmann. The 6-foot-6, 283-pound junior from Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger received the news after Iowa recruiting coordinator Kelvin Bell visited his school today.

"My coach was talking to Coach Bell about how many offers I had and said, 'Add Iowa to that list,'" said Tippmann.

Tippmann has yet to visit Iowa City, but is thinking about making a trip during Iowa's bowl prep in December. Meanwhile, he started learning more about the Hawkeyes and their tradition since picking up the offer today.

"Well, from what I know so far they are another one of the best offensive line schools," Tippmann said. "Coach Bell told me that they really take pride on their offensive line and offensive line play, which is something that appeals to me."

Overall, Iowa is Tippmann's sixth offer, as the Hawkeyes join Wisconsin, Purdue, Cincinnati, Western Michigan, and Ball State on his list.

"It’s truly a blessing, especially to be getting offers from such highly regarded o-line schools," said Tippmann.
