The Iowa Hawkeyes have entered the race for Georgia defensive end Jamarcus Chatman. A 6-foot-3, 266-pound prospect, Chatman received a scholarship offer from Iowa recruiting coordinator Kelvin Bell today and has a family connection to the Hawkeyes.

"It started from talking to the d-line coach and my cousin, Trey Creamer," said Chatman.

Creamer, who is from Cartersville, GA, signed with the Hawkeyes this month in the Class of 2017. Now, Iowa will be trying to add Chatman, from Rome, GA, in 2018.

"I would love to play with him in college," Chatman said.

Iowa joins a long list of schools that have offered Chatman, including Georgia Tech, Miami, Tennessee, Baylor, BYU, Indiana, Iowa State, West Virginia, Minnesota, Oregon, Purdue, Rutgers, and Virginia Tech, among others.
