Hawks land commit No. 3

The Iowa Hawkeyes have landed their third verbal commitment in the Class of 2014. Less than one week after picking up a scholarship offer from the Iowa coaching staff, Dubuque Senior offensive lineman Lucas LeGrand made the call today and then posted the news on Twitter.
"Just committed to play football for the University of Iowa!" LeGrand tweeted.

Once Iowa offered, it seemed like it would only be a matter of time as LeGrand's family has had season tickets at Kinnick Stadium for several years. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound prospect told us the Hawkeyes have always been his favorite team growing up and playing at Iowa would be a dream come true.
LeGrand is third commit for the Hawkeyes with all three hailing from in-state as he joins Cedar Falls offensive lineman Ross Pierschbacher and La Porte City athlete Jay Scheel on Iowa's list.
HawkeyeReport.com will have more on LeGrand's decision later today.
