Hawks land Texas WR

The Iowa Hawkeyes have landed their thirteenth commitment in the Class of 2015. Texas wide receiver Emmanuel Ogwo, a 6-foot-0, 175-pound track star from Mesquite Horn High School, announced his decision on Twitter this afternoon after a three day visit to campus in Iowa City.

Ogwo, who also plans to run track at Iowa, chose the Hawkeyes over scholarship offers from Rutgers, UNLV, Louisiana-Monroe, and New Mexico State. The Iowa coaching staff was the first to offer, which meant a lot to the three-star prospect, and played a big role in his decision.
"They were the first to pull the trigger and offer me," said Ogwo. "I know Coach Kennedy has been waiting on me to make my decision for a while, so I thought why not now."
HawkeyeReport.com will have more on Ogwo and his decision on the way.
