The Iowa Hawkeyes have landed a commitment from big Wisconsin TE/OL Jack Plumb. The 6-foot-8, 245-pound Plumb announced his decision this afternoon after visiting Iowa City for the Hawkeye Tailgater this past weekend.

"First off I would like to thank my family and God for helping me through this process and being very supportive, all the coaches and guys that have helped me become the player I am today and for all my friends supporting me and pushing me to be the best," Plumb said in a statement. "After that being said I am extremely excited to announce that I am committing to Coach Ferentz and the University of Iowa."

A three-star prospect, Plumb chose Iowa over scholarship offers from Wisconsin, Michigan State, Arizona State, and Minnesota, among others.

"It just felt right when I was on campus," Plumb told HawkeyeReport.com shortly after his announcement. "The history of the tight end to offensive linemen at Iowa really interested me and the way they were involved from the beginning."
