Illinois fullback walking on

Illinois fullback Adam Cox is going to continue his football career at the University of Iowa. The 6-foot-0, 210-pound all-state selection from Stillman Valley will be joining the Hawkeyes as a walk-on this year, according to his coach, Mike Lalor.
"He is walking on out at Iowa," said Lalor. "It just got finalized last week. He is not on their preferred list yet, but he has already set up summer classes and is going there."

As a senior, Cox led Stillman Valley on both offense and defense as the Cardinals finished 13-1 on the year. At running back, he had 215 carries for 1,782 yards and 34 touchdowns to go along with 107 tackles as a linebacker.
A Class 3A school in Illinois, Stillman Valley plays in the Big Northern West Conference, which produced former Hawkeye walk-on Sean Considine from Byron a few years ago.
