Iowa hoops targets in Rivals ranking for 2012

On Tuesday, college coaches will be hitting the road for the very important July evaluation period. For Coach Fran McCaffery and his staff, it will be the first time they can hit the road for AAU events representing the University of Iowa. While they will be looking at many 2011 prospects, they also will be focused in on watching players like Marcus Paige and Adam Woodbury, who are ranked in the newly released Rivals.com Top 100 for the Class of 2012.

Paige checks in at No. 29 in the 2012 rankings. His AAU teammates, Woodbury and Mike Gesell also make the Top 100 for 2012, at No. 86 and No. 98, respectively. Also making the initial rankings for the summer is Sioux City Heelan prep Wesley Staten at No. 90.
Others with Iowa offers who would be considered long shots at this point are: No. 2-ranked Isaiah Austin, No. 9-ranked Khem Birch, No. 26-ranked Perry Ellis and No. 28-ranked Alex Murphy.
