Iowa women's hoops extending several new offers

It was a big weekend for the Iowa Women’s Basketball team, as they had several visitors on campus, as well as their annual Iowa Elite Camp on Monday. The result was a several offers handed out to recruits across several classes.

Class of 2025 6’2 Wing Aniya Trent and her teammate 6’0 F Bryn Martin out of Springboro, Ohio both received offers after they took their unofficial visits to Iowa City over the weekend.

Trent is rated as the #24 prospect in the class of ’25 by ESPN, as well as the #5 wing prospect in the country. She currently has other offers from Wisconsin, Harvard, Toledo, Illinois State, Cincinnati, Xavier and Dayton, while she took an unofficial visit to Michigan during last football season.

As a freshman at Springboro, Aniya averaged 7.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.2 blocks per game. She scored in double digits six times, rebounded in double digits 12 times and collected three double-doubles for a Panthers team that finished 20-6 on the season.


Bryn Martin has other offers from Harvard, Xavier, Illinois, and Dayton, while she has attended elite camps for Michigan and Dayton. As a freshman at Springboro, Martin averaged 15.0 points and 3.8 rebounds, including 41.8% shooting from behind the arc. She scored in double figures in 23 of 26 games, including five games with 20+ points.



Class of 2026 6’0 SG Ava Miles out of Kansas City, Missouri attended the Iowa Elite Camp on Monday and received an offer on top of the camp visit. Miles is rated as the #21 player in the country for the class of ’26 by Top Spot Basketball. She has received offers from Oklahoma State and Kansas, while she has also attended a camp at Baylor.


Her AAU teammate 6’0 G Addison Bjorn received an offer from the Hawkeyes after an unofficial visit this past weekend. She is rated as the #24 player in the country for the class of ’26 by Top Spot Basketball. Both Miles and Bjorn will begin their freshman year at Park Hill South this fall.


Bjorn has a good offer list already put together as she enters her freshman year at Park Hill South. She has received offers from Michigan, Oklahoma, Iowa State, Missouri, Kansas and Xavier, while she has taken unofficial visits to Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Louisville and Kansas State. Bjorn has also attended the Nebraska Elite Camp.

Class of 2025 C Avery Gordon out of Brownsburg, Indiana received an offer after her unofficial visit. She stood out on the court last year as a freshman standing at 6 foot 6 inches.


Gordon has received other offers from Purdue, Evansville, Toledo and Omaha. She has also taken unofficial visits to Iowa and Xavier.


A couple other noteworthy names from the weekend include Class of 2024 6’3 C Trinity Wilson out of Lakeville. MN and Class of ’25 F Mikayla Paschal out of Largo, FL. Wilson was on an unofficial visit this past weekend in Iowa City and while she did not receive an offer, she is now a name to watch. She has received offers from Vanderbilt and St Thomas so far.


Paschal has some Iowa ties, as she is the daughter of former Iowa DB Marcus Paschal. As a freshman at Largo High School, Paschal averaged 11.3 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. She does not have any offers yet according to her twitter account, but has taken unofficial visits to Iowa, Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Paschal attended the Iowa Elite Camp on Monday.
