The Iowa Hawkeyes are hosting their first junior day of the year with several talented prospects in the classes of 2019, 2020, and 2021 making their way to Iowa City on Saturday. In this update, we break down the big name recruits coming to town.

Michigan quarterback Samuel Johnson III is the only Class of 2019 visitor without an offer from the Hawkeyes yet, but that might not be the case for long. The Iowa coaching staff stopped by his high school to watch him throw this winter and have been showing a lot of interest ever since. Currently, the 6-foot-4, 194-pound Johnson holds 15 offers, which includes the likes of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Syracuse, Boston College, Cincinnati, and several MAC schools.

Missouri running back Nathaniel Peat was a relatively recent offer for Iowa, coming in late January, and the three-star prospect will get his first look at the Hawkeyes this weekend. A 5-foot-8, 170-pound back from Columbia Rock Bridge, Peat also holds offers from Missouri, Northwestern, Iowa State, Kansas, South Dakota State, and Missouri State.

Wichita native Breece Hall was another running back that Iowa offered in the Class of 2019 last month. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Hall is currently up to eight offers with Nebraska, Kansas State, Minnesota, Louisville, Kansas, Iowa State, and South Dakota State rounding out the list. This weekend will be his first visit to Iowa City.

The Iowa Hawkeyes were the first to offer Class of 2019 wide receiver Desmond Hutson from Missouri a couple weeks back. Currently, Iowa remains the lone offer for the three-star prospect, but that is sure to change after a junior season that saw him rack up 49 catches for 792 yards and 14 touchdowns. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Hutson is anxious to see Iowa City for the first time and looks forward to meeting the rest of the coaching staff after picking up his offer from Kelton Copeland in January.

Also from the state of Indiana, wide receiver Eli Pancol saw his recruiting take off in January with new offers from Iowa, Louisville, Duke, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Purdue, and Cincinnati just to name a few. This weekend, the three-star prospect will get his first look at the Hawkeyes at their junior day.

Wisconsin athlete Da'Shaun Brown visited Iowa last fall to watch the Hawkeyes' win over Ohio State. Two weeks after that trip, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Brown picked up an offer from the Iowa coaching staff. A three-star prospect, he also has early offers from Wisconsin, Iowa State, and Western Michigan. A dual-threat QB at Racine St. Catherine, Brown had 1,404 yards passing, 1,210 yards rushing, and 34 touchdowns on offense to go along with 16 tackles and one interception on defense and could play on either side of the ball in college.

The Iowa coaching staff remains undecided whether Cameron Baker is a future running back or linebacker in college, but the Hawkeyes want him on their side. Iowa offered the 6-foot-2, 210-pound Baker in November and will have him back on campus this weekend to continue to build on their relationship. As a junior, Baker finished with 196 carries for 1,852 yards and 20 touchdowns on offense and 49 tackles, three TFL, and one interception on defense for Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson.

Cedar Falls linebacker Jack Campbell will be back in Iowa City this weekend for another visit with the Hawkeyes. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Campbell earned an offer at Iowa's camp last June and also has offers from Iowa State, Minnesota, and UNI. Recently, the three-star prospect has said that he is eyeing a spring decision.

Waverly-Shell Rock defensive end Mosai Newsom is another in-state prospect that will be in town again this weekend. In January, the 6-foot-5, 245-pound Newsom attended the U.S. Army Combine in San Antonio, where he impressed scouts with his size and athleticism. A three-star prospect, Newsom currently has offers from Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota.

In-state commit Ezra Miller will be back in Iowa City this weekend to help the Hawkeyes' recruiting efforts and continue to get to know his future coaches. Now up to 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds, Miller had a dominant junior year at Ridge View High School and is looking forward to proving himself at national camps this spring.

In the Class of 2020, wide receiver Jonathan Mann will be a sophomore attending Iowa's junior day this weekend. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Minnesota native already has offers from Iowa and Iowa State and is sure to see that list grow as his recruiting progresses.

Also in the Class of 2020, Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen will be making the trip from Michigan with high school teammate Samuel Johnson III on Saturday. A 6-foot-2, 175-pound wide receiver, Yaseen already has offers from Minnesota, Iowa State, Indiana, Northern Illinois, and Western Michigan to name a few. It will be interesting to see if the Hawkeyes decide to add their name to the list this weekend.

Finally, in the Class of 2021, Wisconsin native JC Latham is already on his way to becoming a big time prospect. Standing 6-foot-6 and 250 pounds as a 15-year old freshman, Latham wears a size 18 shoe and continues to grow, which leads many to believe his best position might be offensive tackle down the road. Whatever the case, he is sure to be a highly sought after prospect. Iowa was the first to offer last November when Latham visited Iowa City to watch the Hawkeyes' win over Ohio State, but now Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa State, and Michigan have offered as well. The Class of 2021 prospect attends the same high school, Catholic Memorial in Waukesha, WI, that produced current Hawkeye Max Cooper.
