Wisconsin native Joe Ludwig has decided on his college future. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Ludwig is going to attend the University of Iowa and join the Hawkeye football program as a preferred walk-on this year.

"I just felt at home there," said Ludwig, who visited Iowa City last week. "I also thought the coaching staff was great and the football facilities were awesome."

A hard hitting safety at Middleton High School, Ludwig will be making the transition to linebacker in college at Iowa.

"I'm going to start out as an outside linebacker," Ludwig said. "They said that all players get an equal opportunity to prove themselves and earn playing time there."
