Class of 2018 linebacker Cameron McGrone added an offer from the Iowa Hawkeyes this past week. On Thursday, it was Iowa recruiting coordinator Kelvin Bell that reached out to the Indianapolis native to give him the news.

"The offer from Iowa was a blessing," said McGrone. "When Coach Kelvin Bell told me the great news, I truly felt honored. I was at a lost for words to have received an offer from them."

With an offer from the Hawkeyes now in hand, the three-star prospect looks forward to learning more about Iowa and possibly visiting later this fall.

"I have never been there before, but definitely plan on visiting in the future," McGrone said. "I'm going to try to make it this season if I can."

A 6-foot-1, 210-pound junior at Lawrence Central High School, McGrone now holds scholarship offers from Iowa, Nebraska, Northwestern, Indiana, Syracuse, Cincinnati, and Miami of Ohio.

"This is a very humbling experience right now," McGrone said. "For colleges to already take interest in me so heavily as a junior is a indescribable feeling."

"I am truly blessed and I plan to continue showing everyone why I am getting the attention that I am getting."
