The Iowa Hawkeyes are the latest team to offer Class of 2018 athlete Tyrone Tracy, Jr. from Indianapolis. The versatile 6-foot-0, 182-pound junior at Decatur Central High School received the news this evening from Iowa recruiting coordinator Kelvin Bell.

"Coach Bell had me call him today," said Tracy. "We had a good conversation and he told me the good news."

"I was very excited because Iowa is a big school," he continued. "It's my dream to go D1, but schools like that, these opportunities only come once in a lifetime."

Tracy, who plans to visit Iowa on November 12, could play either running back or wide receiver in college. Currently, he holds six scholarship offers in all as Iowa joins Illinois, Northwestern, Cincinnati, Bowling Green, and Central Michigan on his list.

"I'm extremely blessed beyond measure," Tracy said. "All praise goes to God. Without Him, I have nothing. I'm just waiting to see what else awaits me on the journey."
