Norwalk DL Ethan Clark visits Iowa

Having a teammate committed to Iowa in 2019 lineman Tyler Endres is something that stands out to Norwalk 2018 defensive lineman Ethan Clark.

“Tyler loves it," said Clark. "He says he wants me to go there but I don’t know yet. With him being there, it is nice.”

Clark was on campus in Iowa City last Saturday to watch the Hawkeyes play.

“It went really well," Clark said. "Their facilities are really nice. I had a good time. I got to go up there with Tyler (Endres). I had a lot of fun.”

The visit was something that allowed Clark to learn more about the Iowa program.

“We got there and ate some food," he said. "We looked at their facilities that they wanted us to see. We got to go down to the sidelines and look at the players. We talked to some of the other recruits and watched the game.”

Clark talked about the portion of the trip that he enjoyed the most.

“I kind of liked going on the sidelines and watching the other players," said Clark. "It was senior night so that was fun watching those guys get some props.”

The program overall is one that Clark enjoys.

“I like it," Clark said. "It was really nice. Their facilities are really nice. I liked it a lot.”

Clark feels that the Hawkeyes have been keeping a closer eye on him as a recruit.

“Iowa is starting to show more interest and that is nice," he said. "There is a little bit of mail and a little social media too.”

His college position is likely in the trenches defensively.

“I am assuming defensive line because that is what I have always played, "said Clark. "It is probably defensive end.”

Clark named a few other in-state programs that have been recruiting him.

“It is a lot of smaller DII and DIII schools like Coe, Central, and a little bit of Grandview," Clark said. "Those are really some of the smaller schools that are some of my favorites.”

The Hawkeyes were the college that Clark followed the most since he was smaller.

“It was between Iowa and Iowa State but definitely Iowa.”

Clark is hoping to make another trip to Iowa City in the future.

“I’ll probably go back to Iowa," he said. "I might go to some smaller schools too.”
