After today’s visit to Iowa City, Illinois fullback Turner Pallissard decided that he has found his college home. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound senior at Lincoln-Way East High School has accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity with the Hawkeyes.
"I am proud to announce that I will be accepting my preferred walk-on offer as a fullback at the University of Iowa," Pallissard announced. "I would like to thank my family, friends, coaches, and everyone who supported me along the way."
For Pallissard, who saw Iowa beat Illinois 45-16 today, it was the game day visit and and everything surrounding the Hawkeye football program that made it an easy decision.
“Iowa is the complete package,” said Pallissard. “I love the coaching staff, the university, the facilities, and the people. Iowa has endless opportunities and is second to none.”
Also a long snapper, Pallissard has been receiving interest from Cornell, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Illinois State in addition to Iowa. With the Hawkeyes, he expects to play offense and looks forward to helping the team in any way that he can.
“The coaches see me as a promising fullback/tight end and as a contributing player that will do whatever it takes to help the team win,” Pallissard said.
