Henry Marchese reports to Iowa City on June 11th.

This fall, Henry Marchese will get the chance to fulfill a lifelong dream when he walks out of the tunnel as a player at Kinnick Stadium just like his father did 30 years ago. We caught up with the 6-foot-3, 192-pound Marchese, who will wear #13 for the Hawkeyes, to talk about his upcoming freshman year at Iowa and much more.

Q: When do you make the move to Iowa City this summer?

MARCHESE: I make the move to Iowa City June 11th.

Q: What are you looking forward to in starting workouts with the team?

MARCHESE: I'm excited to meet my new teammates and make new bonds and also compete with everyone.

Q: What are your goals for your freshman year? Are you hoping to play or expecting to redshirt?

MARCHESE: My goals for this season are to beat our rivals, win the West, win the Big Ten championship, and win our bowl game. Also, I will have an opportunity for playing time at wide receiver and I'll compete for that spot.

Q: What have you heard from the coaches since signing day?

MARCHESE: I've been given the workout plan, food plan, route tree, film from practice, and I've seen a little bit of the playbook. I'm studying it to be better prepared for the summer.

Q: What will it mean to you to walk out of the tunnel at Kinnick Stadium for the first time?

MARCHESE: It will mean the world to me. The Hawkeye faithful is electric and exciting and especially walking out the same tunnel as my father did is pretty special.

Q: When you look back at everything, what was it about Iowa that made it the right place for you?

MARCHESE: I've been coming to Iowa City since I was little, so it feels like a second home to me. The academics, atmosphere, and people fit me very well.

Q: What number will you be wearing at Iowa and can we get a quick height and weight update?

MARCHESE: My number is #13. My height is 6'3” and my weight is at 192 pounds.

Q: Lastly, with your twin brother walking on at Illinois, what will that sibling rivalry be like in college down the road?

MARCHESE: We always poke at each other about it. All my brothers do, either Illinois or Maryland, but it'll be so fun being on the field with them. Obviously, some talk will be going on.

A two-star prospect, Marchese committed to Iowa on January 24, 2017, choosing the Hawkeyes over scholarship offers from Army, Central Michigan, Bowling Green, and Miami of Ohio.

As a senior, Marchese put up big numbers at Stevenson High School with 63 catches for 1,053 yards and 16 touchdowns.
