On Thursday night, Caitlin Clark made history, breaking former Washington star Kelsey Plum's NCAA career scoring record minutes into the first quarter of #4 Iowa's 106-89 win over Michigan. Clark finished the game with an Iowa single-game record 49 points on 16-of-31 shooting (9-of-18 from deep), as well as 13 assists and five assists.

Much like the record-setting shot, the social media reaction to Clark's record-breaking achievement was spectacular as well.

Clark wasn't done setting records on Thursday night, either. Her shooting was torrid from the start -- 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting (5-of-7 from 3-point range) in the first quarter alone -- and she finished with 49 points, breaking her own personal single-game record (46 points) and the Iowa single-game scoring record (48 points) in the process.
