Malachi Moreno, the No. 22 player in the country in the class of 2025 and a four-star seven-footer, has narrowed his list of schools to eight. A product of Georgetown, Kentucky and Great Crossing High School, Moreno lists Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Arkansas, Louisville, Ohio State and Notre Dame as the programs he's decided to focus on for the remainder of his recruitment.

Moreno caught up with GIA recently to share why the Hawkeyes are among the contenders for his eventual commitment.
