Calvin Davis out for the season

IOWA CITY, IA -- University of Iowa starting senior wide receiver Calvin Davis is expected to be out for the remainder of the 2006 season with a torn Achilles tendon to his right leg. The injury, according to Head Coach Kirk Ferentz, occurred during practice Wednesday.
Davis, a 6-1, 197-lb fifth year senior, started Iowa's first two games this season and caught two passes for 23 yards. Davis is an Iowa City native and attended City High School. He has caught 38 career passes for 501 yards and a touchdown. His freshman season (2003) was his best year with 23 catches for 330 yards. He was named to the Rivals.com freshman all-America team in 2003.
