In our following the future update, we take a look each week during the season at how Iowa's commits are doing on the field, including our performance of the week. Join us throughout the year as we watch their progress and get ready for the future of Hawkeye football.

Performance of the week

Iowa commit Samson Evans earns our performance of the week after scoring the game winning touchdown for Prairie Ridge on a 66 yard run with just 7.8 seconds left on the clock Saturday. With offensive lineman Jeff Jenkins leading the way, Evans finished with 28 carries for 186 yards and 2 touchdowns in the game, which was a 17-13 win for Prairie Ridge over Cary-Grove. On the season, Evans now has 1,472 rushing yards for defending state champion Prairie Ridge (11-0).

Other performances

Linebacker Dillon Doyle had 10 tackles and 1 TFL in Iowa City West's 27-9 win over Cedar Falls in the playoffs Friday. This season, Doyle has 65 tackles and 8.5 TFL on defense and 16 catches for 226 yards and 4 touchdowns on offense for West (11-0).

Defensive tackle Tyler Linderbaum had 4 tackles and a fumble recovery in Solon's 54-14 playoff win over Decorah Friday. This year, Linderbaum has 45 tackles, 6 TFL, and 2 sacks for Solon (11-0) who has only allowed 37 points through 11 games.

Tight end Jack Plumb helped set the edge as Bay Port rushed for 225 yards on Friday, but lost to Appleton North 49-41. Primarily used as a blocker, Plumb had 5 catches for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns this season for Bay Port (11-1).

Offensive lineman Cody Ince saw his senior season come to an end after Unity's 21-8 playoff loss to Regis on Friday. Defensively, Ince had 11 tackles in the game and finished the year with 101 tackles, 21 TFL, and 4 sacks for Unity (9-3).

Terry Roberts had a bye week as Cathedral Prep gets ready for the playoffs. This season, Roberts has 29 catches for 868 yards and 12 touchdown on offense to go along with 9 tackles and 3 interceptions on defense for Cathedral Prep (10-0).

Tyrone Tracy Jr. showed his versatility on Friday with 95 yards rushing, 102 yards receiving, and 2 touchdowns, but saw Decatur Central's season end after a 42-21 playoff loss to Cathedral. Tracy finishes the season with 123 carries for 1,412 yards rushing and 54 catches for 1,132 yards receiving with 29 touchdowns for Decatur Central (10-2).

No stats available yet, but defensive tackle Noah Shannon led Oswego to a 24-20 playoff win over Glenbard West this past weekend. Shannon had 46 tackles, 15 TFL, and 8 sacks going into the week for Oswego (11-1).

Also no stats available yet for safety Julius Brents, but his Warren Central team lost to Ben Davis 36-29 Friday to end their season. After returning mid-season from a knee injury, Brents had 13 tackles and 1 interception for Warren Central (7-4).

Class of 2019 defensive back commit Larry Tracy had 4 tackles in the first quarter on Friday night, but then missed the rest of the game due to a concussion and saw his Decatur Central team lose to Cathedral 42-21. This year, Tracy had 86 tackles, 10 TFL, 14 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions for Decatur Central (10-2).

Class of 2019 tight end commit Logan Lee had 3 catches for 33 yards on offense and really made his mark on defense his week with 8.5 tackles and 4.5 TFL in a 24-21 playoff victory for Orion over Clifton Central Saturday. This year, Lee has 26 catches for 426 yards and 8 touchdowns for Orion (10-2).

Tight end Anthony Torres is out for the season due to injury. His Mishawaka Penn team improved to 10-1 after beating Warsaw 40-0 in the playoffs on Friday.

Running back Henry Geil finished his senior season with 224 carries for 1,479 yards and 16 touchdowns for Green Bay Preble (6-4).

Cornerback D.J. Johnson finished his senior season with 36 tackles, 5.5 TFL, and 2 interceptions for North Central (3-7).

Class of 2019 offensive line commit Ezra Miller paved the way as Ridge View racked up an impressive 2,041 rushing yards during their 6-3 season.

Class of 2019 offensive line commit Tyler Endres led the way upfront as Norwalk rushed for 1,186 yards and threw for 1,707 yards on their way to a 6-3 record.

Finally, junior college defensive tackle Daviyon Nixon had 5 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 2 pass deflections to help Iowa Western beat Ellsworth 30-20 Saturday. This season, Nixon has 37 tackles, 11 TFL, and 4 sacks for Iowa Western (9-1).
