The Iowa Hawkeyes are the latest team to offer talented Class of 2019 offensive lineman Quinn Carroll. The 6-foot-6, 280-pound Minnesota native received the news from lead recruiter Seth Wallace, who spoke with Edina head coach Reed Boltmann earlier today.

"I was told by Coach Boltmann to call Coach Wallace today around 7, so I called and about mid-conversation he introduced the fact that Iowa would like to offer me a scholarship," said Carroll.

"I was blown away," Carroll continued. "The history and tradition of offensive linemen at Iowa is up there with the best, if not the best."

"I have a lot of respect for the program as a whole as well as the offensive line coach, Coach Ferentz, and Coach Wallace, the recruiting coach for my area. I'm excited to learn even more about the program and meet more of the staff."

A couple weeks ago, Carroll had a chance to visit the Hawkeyes for a game at Kinnick Stadium, which was Iowa's 40-10 win over Nebraska on Black Friday.

"What really stood out to me was how full and energetic the stadium was," said Carroll. "The facilities are top in the nation and that attracts just about everybody. The strength coach also described how former Hawkeyes, some in the NFL, come back regularly and work out with the team, which proves a very welcoming and family like environment."

The Iowa offer is No. 6 overall for Carroll as the Hawkeyes join Minnesota, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Iowa State, and Pittsburgh on his list.

"It is very humbling," said Carroll. "It is the culmination of a lot of hard work and blessings along with a phenomenal support system of a family."
