Bain, Edwards leaving Iowa

IOWA CITY, IA – Two University of Iowa football student athletes have decided to leave the Hawkeye football program.

The announcement was made today by Iowa Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz.
Sophomore defensive lineman Ryan Bain and redshirt freshman defensive back Justin Edwards have indicated they will transfer schools at the end of the current semester.
Bain, a 6-2, 282-pounder from Bolingbrook, IL, was a two-year letterman who saw action as a defensive end and tackle. He had 56 career tackles.
Edwards, a 6-1, 165-lb sophomore from Garland, TX, lettered last season as a redshirt freshman. He had five tackles in eight games.
