A former Northern Iowa basketball and football Insider for Townsquare Media, Eliot joins the team as Go Iowa Awesome's new recruiting analyst. He brings experience and know-how for recruit evaluation.

As he announced on Twitter Sunday afternoon, Burke Gautcher, a 2025 three-star prospect out of Sycamore, Illinois, has committed to Iowa. He chose the Hawkeyes over offers from Northern Illinois, Kent State, Minnesota and Illinois. Michigan, Missouri, Tennessee, Notre Dame and Purdue all showed interest.

Listed as a safety on Rivals, Gautcher will play linebacker in Iowa City.
