It's coming down to the wire in our weekly Hawkeye Report Pick Six competition and frankly, no one is finishing all that strong based on the results from last week.

Lyle Hammes won the week with a 4-2. Our overall leader, RDietz, was just 3-3 last week and bringing up the rear in for the week and the season are Tom Kakert and Mike Zierath, who were 1-5 last week.

The overall leader is RDietz with a 47-19 mark. Blair Sanderson is right on his heels with a 45-21 record and Matt Randazzo is one game behind that with a 44-22 record.

This week we have some of the great rivalries in college football on tap and of course, we are going to pick those games.

Iowa at Nebraska

Alabama at Auburn

Washington State at Washington

Ohio State at Michigan

Notre Dame at Stanford

Indiana at Purdue

Here are the expert picks this week:

MIKE ZIERATH (1-5 last week, 39-26 overall)

Bama runs roughshod over the Eagles, or whatever they are.

You know what? I’m taking that pirate band from Pullman...Argh!

OSU and it ain’t close

Give me the Cardinal

This is prolly gonna be a barn burner....one of them becomes bowl eligible! I will take our fierce rival, the Boilermakers!

I hate to say it, but I like Iowa to bounce back and get that 7th win I predicted before the season started. My pick to click is Noah Fant. Hawks 28, Nebbie 24

TORBEE (2-4 last week, 32-25 overall)

Alabama wins, proving that college football is essentially pointless.

Huskies over whatever Washington State's mascot is.

Buckeyes beat Harbaugh, who is the new Bo Pelini.

Stanford over N.D.

Purdue beats Indiana, in a game that amazingly pits two teams better than Iowa or Nebraska.

The Iowa-Nebraska game should be canceled to spare the nation horrible football. I'll go Nebraska 2-0, the lone score coming on a fumbled Iowa snap through the end zone.

LYLE HAMMES (4-2 last week, 42-24 overall)

Alabama over Auburn

Washington over Washington State

Ohio State over Michigan

Notre Dame over Stanford

Purdue over Indiana

MATT RANDAZZO (2-4 last week, 44-22 overall)

Bama

Washington

Ohio State

Notre Dame

Purdue

Iowa wins 31-21

BLAIR SANDERSON (2-4 last week, 45-21 overall)

Alabama

Washington

Ohio State

Stanford

Purdue

Iowa 24, Nebraska 21. PTC is Miguel Recinos.

TOM KAKERT (1-5 last week, 38-29 overall)

Roll Tide over War Eagle

Give me the crazy pirate and Washington State

Buckeyes are going to roll Harbaugh

Domers in a close one.

Boiler Up!

Can neither team win this one? Can it end in a 0-0 tie? Ok, I have to pick a winner and I will go Iowa 24 Nebraska 20...and I have zero confidence in that pick. Give me Nebraska native Noah Fant as the pick to click. Pair of TD's on the day.

JOHN KERTH

Alabama over Auburn

Washington over Washington State

Ohio State over Michigan

Notre Dame over Stanford

Purdue over Indiana

After riding high just two short weeks ago, Iowa now finds itself on the precipice of finishing the season with a disappointing .500 record. While Nebraska has been downright bad for much of the season, I think the ‘Huskers beat the Hawkeyes, 24-17. Akrum Wadley paces Iowa with 90 yards and a TD.
