Hawkeye Report Pick Six

The Hawkeyes are back in Kinnick this weekend for homecoming.
The Hawkeyes are back in Kinnick this weekend for homecoming.

There’s a little separation from the pack in our weekly Pick Six contest on Hawkeye Report.

Blair Sanderson still leads the way, even though he had his worst week picking games. He’s on top with a red hot 24-6 record. Surprisingly, RDietz is close behind with a 23-7 overall record, followed closely by Lyle Hammes and Matt Randazzo with 22-8 records.

Last week the top pickers were Mike Zierath and RDietz, who posted 5-1 records. After a couple of slumping weeks, Torbee picked things up for the second straight week with a 4-2 record.

This week in addition to picking the Illinois/Iowa game, these are the games on the schedule:

Minnesota at Purdue

Wisconsin at Nebraska

Miami at Florida State

Washington State at Oregon

Kansas State at Texas

Here are the picks this week:

---

BLAIR SANDERSON (3-3 last week, 24-6 overall)

Purdue

Wisconsin

Florida State

Oregon

Texas

Iowa wins 38-16. PTC is Ivory Kelly-Martin.

---

LYLE HAMMES (4-2 last week, 22-8 overall)

Purdue over Minnesota in a game between two (thus far) overachieving teams. Wisconsin over Nebraska. Can they both lose?

Florida State over Miami

Washington State over Oregon

Texas over Kansas State

Iowa over Illinois in a "pride" game, 31-13. With a tough Big Ten slate, it's time to put a team away and not let it linger into the fourth quarter. PTC is Matt Vandeberg; he's due.

---

TOM KAKERT (3-3 last week, 19-11 overall)

Give me the Boilers…Win one for Cowboy Joe Tiller

Badgers roll in Lincoln

The Noles are a mess right now and surprisingly, Miami is pretty good.

Give me the crazy pirate captain at Washington State

I always take Bill Snyder….Always.

Hawkeyes roll 38-13 over Illinois. My pick to click is ISM, who has a pair of TD catches and 100 yards receiving.

---

RDIETZ (5-1 last week, 23-7 overall)

Purdue

Wisconsin

FSU

Washington State

Texas

Iowa 31 Illinois 10. Stanley gets back on track with 3 TD passes.

---

MIKE ZIERATH (5-1 last week, 20-10 overall)

Give me the Gophers

I'll take those Pesky Badgers

This is where Miami makes a statement

The Pirate and his band of hooligans

Texas is the popular pick, not so fast my friend.....I got the fighting Bill Snyders!

I will take the Hawks, 31-14. My pick to click is Akrum Wadley who gets back on track in a big way.

---

MATT RANDAZZO (4-2 overall, 22-8 overall)

Purdue

Wisconsin

Miami

Washington State

Texas

Iowa wins 31-10 and the pick to click is the Hawkeye offensive line.

---

JOHN KERTH (3-3 last week, 18-6 overall)

Minnesota over Purdue

Wisconsin over Nebraska

Miami over Florida State

Oregon over Washington State

Texas over Kansas State

The Iowa offense has struggled this season but they are facing the right opponent at the right time. The Hawkeyes run all over the Illinois defense and win, 31-14. Akrum Wadley rebounds from a rough week to finish with 120 yards on the ground with two TDs.
