The Iowa Hawkeyes are the latest team to offer Ohio running back Tavion Thomas. The 6-foot-2, 227-pound Thomas received the news from the Iowa recruiting coordinator Kelvin Bell on Saturday.

"Well, first we were talking about getting down to Iowa," said Thomas. "He really wants to see me in person and I really want to see how Iowa looks. He telling me how beautiful the place is and the academics are really great, so I just want to go look at it myself."

The Hawkeyes offered the same day as the Ohio State Buckeyes and the two programs join a long list of others that includes Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Arizona State, Iowa State, Purdue, Cincinnati, Ball State, Bowling Green, Ball State, Ohio, and Central Michigan.
