The Iowa coaching staff has been staying in close contact with Wisconsin defensive lineman Daviyon Nixon all month and today finally made their move. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound Nixon added a scholarship offer from the Hawkeyes during a visit from Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz and lead recruiter Seth Wallace this afternoon.

"They offered me," Nixon said via text message, adding that he now plans to take an official visit to Iowa City this weekend, January 27-29.
