North Linn offensive lineman Kyler Schott has decided on his college future. After considering several different options, the 6-foot-2, 275-pound Schott is going to follow his dream and join the Iowa Hawkeyes as a walk-on this year.
"Playing football at the University of Iowa was always a dream of mine, so they always had a little edge over everyone else in the recruiting process," said Schott. "Iowa recruited me the hardest and that was a big factor in my choice."
Schott, who is also a good wrestler at heavyweight for North Linn, was considering junior college options such as Iowa Western and Iowa Central, a couple FCS programs including Drake, and Division III schools Wartburg and Coe.
